Christmas Celebration in Preschool
The joy and happiness radiated from the faces of the adorable preschool children of Stella Maris International School Gading Serpong this morning, Friday, January 16, 2025, during a special event, the Preschool Christmas Celebration, held from 8:00 to 11:00 AM in the Getsemani Hall.
The celebration was a vibrant showcase of the children’s incredible dancing, singing, and public speaking talents. The event started with a powerful opening prayer led by the K2 class, setting an inspiring tone for the day. Following this, the CCA (Co-Curricular Activity) groups dazzled the audience with captivating performances that included music, vocals, ballet, and modern dance.
After the CCA performances, the class performances began, starting from the youngest to the oldest classes:
- Toddler Class performed the song Jingle Bell Rock.
- Nursery Bee Class used the songs Get Up Get Up and Jingle Bells.
- Nursery Bear Class performed Joy to the World.
- K1 Horse Class performed Feliz Navidad.
- K1 Butterfly Class performed Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Merry Twistmas by Pinkfong.
- Finally, all the K2 classes performed, including K2 Dove, K2 Dolphin, and K2 Rabbit.
This year, the K2 students delivered two separate performances:
- The girls performed Sing for the King.
It was truly heartwarming to witness the children’s generous display of talent. The Christmas celebration reached new heights with a closing performance by all the students and teachers singing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” with delightful choreography. After the celebration, class members captured the moment with group photos alongside parents, students, and teachers. Throughout the event, the children poured their hearts into their efforts. We extend our heartfelt gratitude and pride to all our beloved students for their dedication and to the parents who collaborated to make this Christmas celebration memorable. May our students’ talents continue to flourish, and may the unity and cooperation with parents remain harmonious and intense.
The Christmas celebration brings joy, excitement, and warmth as students, teachers, and parents unite. The atmosphere is vibrant with beautiful decorations, including Christmas trees, colorful lights, and ornaments. The celebration is further enhanced by Christmas songs and dance performances that elevate the festive spirit. Each year, Christmas is celebrated at Stella Maris International School’s preschool to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. This event deepens our gratitude and allows us to express love. Ultimately, Christmas teaches us the importance of loving one another.
On this special occasion, we also share love and care for others. We collect donations involving the participation of parents, students, and teachers. The donations collected are given to a social organization dedicated to education called The Umbrella Wisdom in Mangga Dua, North Jakarta, and the Yayasan Edukasi Abdi Negeri in Alor, Sumba, NTB. We continue to hope that we can always do good throughout our lives and remain grateful in all circumstances, whether in joy or sorrow.
