Learning Through Fun and Everyday Adventures!
Last week, our preschoolers at Stella Maris Gading Serpong had an exciting and meaningful experience during Multiple Life Skill Week! The children were full of enthusiasm as they took part in a variety of hands-on activities designed to build their confidence, independence, and everyday practical skills.
Throughout the week, our little learners explored many activities that helped them become more independent. They practiced buttoning their shirts, putting on jackets, socks, and shoes, and even learned the importance of brushing their teeth properly. It was wonderful to see their proud smiles as they completed each task on their own!
The fun didn’t stop there; the children also learned how to wash dishes and clothes, discovering that helping at home can be both enjoyable and rewarding. We also emphasized good hygiene habits by teaching proper handwashing, a valuable routine that keeps everyone healthy and safe.
To keep their bodies active and healthy, everyone joined a lively Zumba session, dancing and moving to upbeat music. The joy and laughter during this activity filled the entire room! Our young chefs also had a delightful time during cooking class, where they explored ingredients, practiced simple kitchen skills, and, of course, enjoyed tasting their own creations.
Adding a splash of curiosity and discovery, our science experiments turned the children into little scientists, as they observed notable changes and learned to ask “why” and “how.” The week ended with a heartwarming storytelling session from English 1, sparking imagination and language development through engaging tales.
Overall, Multiple Life Skill Week at Stella Maris Gading Serpong was a fantastic opportunity for our students to grow, explore, and gain confidence in their abilities, all while having lots of fun! We are so proud of their progress and can’t wait to continue nurturing these essential skills in the weeks to come.
